NEW! Energy Matters Focused Field Trips
The following new Focused Field Trip workshops, made possible through a grant from Vectren, have been developed to help facilitate understanding of the characteristics
of renewable and nonrenewable resources and how today’s choices will impact the future.

Watt's Up? (Grades K-3)
Kindergarten and Primary students (grades 1-3) will gain a greater understanding of where energy comes from and the importance of using it wisely in this active workshop. Students will explore sources of energy, electric safety and ways to save energy at home through literature, counting, graphing, sorting and other hands-on station activities.

Power Up! (Grades 4-6)
An understanding that everything in the world comes about as an exchange of energy is the central theme in this session for grades 4-6. Students will explore wind, water and solar power as sources of renewable energy as well as participate in activities that illustrate how diminishing resources often require us to make difficult decisions.
